The core Ninety+ staff came together while sharing a passion for the beautiful game as youth players and grew to become lifelong friends. For all of the Ninety+ staff, this game has given us more than we could ever imagine. From the places that we have traveled, to the people that we have had the opportunity to meet, to the values that it has instilled in each of us, we are thankful, daily, for the opportunities and life lessons that soccer has afforded us.
For the core group, some of our greatest mentors are among the Ninety+ staff. Our mission is to have that same impact on today's youth. The staff philosophy is mentorship-based, aiming to develop and empower the soccer player and person. We strive to instill passion for the game and commitment to the pursuit of excellence both on and off the pitch.
The creation of Ninety+ was inspired by Kofi Sarkodie. After becoming a member of the U-16 and U-17 U.S. Men's National Team, winning a national championship with the University of Akron in 2010, and being the 1st round draft pick (7th overall) in 2011 by the Houston Dynamo he continues to strive for more. These are the experiences and expertise Kofi wants to bring today's young players through Ninety+.
