After serving as a key member of the United States youth national team program (U-15, U-17, U-20, U-23), Kofi attended the University of Akron and won an NCAA championship in 2010. In 2011, Kofi began his professional soccer career and was drafted in the first round (7th overall) by the Houston Dynamo of Major League Soccer. With the Houston Dynamo, he won two Eastern Conference Championships, appeared in two MLS Cup Finals (2011, 2012), was named Defensive MVP (2013), and was recognized by ESPN for his “Outstanding Reaction” (2014). Kofi went on to play internationally and has appeared in over 100 professional soccer games. His experiences, education, and expertise is what he wants to share with today’s young players through Ninety Plus.
